Palampur: A Holiday Destination Other Than Dharamshala And Shimla

As the liquid metal soaring high and the schools in planes are about to close for summer vacations, many parents have already planned to get some chill in these holidays. When it is not really advisable to roll your eyes on the southern part in the mapalampur_tourismp of India, northern part soothes the souls. And that too, Kashmir is a daring option, you are just left with two options: Himachal or Uttrakhand.

Manali stages itself on the top of the list. This is the only popular tourist destination much closer to the snow. Rohtang La brings some chill in the spine when you just imagine the scorching heat of planes. But how many times will you visit the same place? Manali is costlier. It is jam packed to the capacity. You will be enough lucky if you reach Rohtang La without any trouble on the way.

Dharamshala or Mcleodgunj is also known as Little Lahasa. Many people from each corner of the world are flocking here daily especially in summers. Tourism activities have also gained more momentum here after it is being considered as ‘Meditation Capital’ of Himachal Pradesh. But bigger problem here is how to reach Mcleodgunj. It is nine kilometers from the town Dharamshala. Both are connected with a narrow curvy road which remains mostly choked due to traffic. No wonder if it takes two hours to reach Mcleodgunj from Dharamshala on any of the day. You get trapped in your vehicle. Main Square is always noisy as vehicles stand still here in traffic.

Shimla, the queen of hills, is overcrowded. The locals here are already thirsty. Night long queues for water proves that situation is not good here. Shimla has a very little water supply for its residents. Tourists can make this situation more worse. Many hotels are cancelling bookings. Long queues of vehicles can be seen waiting for the signals to turn green.

Palampur can be the best choice this season. It is all set to take the load from above cities. Each place in Palampur is connected with more than one road so the viability of traffic jams is almost negligible. It is cheaper. A good Hotel here will be light on your pocket. Free waters of Neugal offer you wide space for fun and frolic. A splash of cold water is enough to evade the sunshine. Saurabh Van Vihar, Jakhni Mata Temple, Neugal Café will make your visit worthy. Visit Palampur! It is incredible.
