Khajji Nag Temple

Khajji Nag Temple is located near Khajjiar Lake. This temple belongs to the 12th century AD and was built by the king of Chamba Preet Singh. This temple is dedicated to Khajji Nag, who is the lord of serpents. Khajji Nag Temple is made up of wooden architecture and there are images on the roof depicting the win of Pandavas from Kauravas in the epic battle war of Mahabharata. This temple has a golden dome and due to this reason it is also called as “Golden Devi Temple”. This temple exhibits a mix of Hindu and Muslim styles. 

Khajji Nag Temple is dedicated to snakes i.e. Nag worship and some snake idols have been situated inside. The interiors of this temple have idols of Lord Shiva and Goddess Hidimba. This temple is one of the renowned holy places in Himachal Pradesh. The ideal time to visit this temple is from 5:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
